Seen District 9 yet? If not, don't worry—I won't spoil anything for you—but if you have you know that hulking robotic suit featured in the trailer shows up and stuff gets nuts. So that got our sister site DVICE thinking: What other awesome powered armor, exoskeletons and battlesuits from science fiction have left a similar lasting impression?
We're not just talking movies here, either. Books, video games and even tabletop gaming—it's all in there. Click over to DVICE to see the top 10 most iconic sci-fi battlesuits.

So now we're doing stories about things that have nothing to do with Sci-fi and we use articles to promote our other sites too?

the aliens power loader #1? really? I want some of the stuff you guys are smoking. it's nothing but a damn fork lift. SYFY you guys running the show are idiots when it comes to this kind of thing. MI Power Armor is the grandfather of all power armor, and the best. It should be #1 without a doubt, not #3. You guys are oblivious to what your fans think and want. Unbelievable.

Oh anachronite...don't get your panties in a twist.
I 100% agree with the power loader. The effect that it had when Riplye came in the door and wearing the power loader and kicking Alien A** was off the chain. I still remember the crowd in the movie theater cheering at that moment.

Panties aren't in a twist. YUOu'd have to be an idiot to chose a fork lift suit over mobile infantry power armor. read the book if you can read and you will see why.

@Farscaper: How are robo-battlesuits not sci-fi??
By Threepio at 8:08 AM ON 08/19/09
@Brassmachine54: I believe the first robo-battlesuit was used in Dicken's "Oliver Twist" so their beginnings weren't in sci-fi which would make Farscaper technically correct.
