ABC's Pushing Daisies may be gone, but it's not forgotten: Kristin Chenoweth took home the Emmy for best supporting actress in a comedy in ceremonies in Los Angeles Sunday night, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
That Emmy was one of four that the show received this month, including three creative arts awards last weekend, the trade paper reported:
The irony wasn't lost on series creator Bryan Fuller."It's a tremendous honor to see Daisies win in so many categories—and, in the spirit of the show, win posthumously," he said. "Now can we please make the Pushing Daisies movie?"
Among other genre shows, Michael Emerson, who plays Ben on ABC's Lost, and Cherry Jones, the U.S. president on Fox's 24, each won a trophy for best supporting actor/actress in a drama series.

I liked her speech. She said that she's currently unemployed, and really likes the series Mad Men, 24 and something else which I forget.

Her rendition of "Eternal Flame" on Pushing Daisies was worth an award by itself.

Funny how the show is still receiving awards and recognition, but the network still sees no point in keeping it on the air.

I'd second that call for a Daisies movie! It's such a shame that the most innovative and original shows never receive full recognition until it is too late.
