Confirmed: Charlize Theron will star in Mad Max 4!
Last week we reported that Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy might star in the upcoming fourth installment in the Mad Max franchise, Fury Road. Today, those rumors are confirmed.
According to Variety:
Charlize Theron is revving up for Mad Max: Fury Road, with producer-director George Miller set to start filming next August in Australia.British actor Tom Hardy (Black Hawk Down) will also star opposite Theron. Thesps are the first major castings announced in the fourth version of the futuristic Mad Max franchise, which has been dormant for 2 1/2 decades.
There's still no news on the story (written by Miller), which characters Theron and Hardy will portray, or whether or not Mel Gibson will have any parts (big or small).
But hold up. Has it really been 2 1/2 decades? (Checks IMDB: Yup. Beyond Thunderdome came out in 1985.) Wow, it seems like only yesterday when I learned the important science lesson: "Methane cometh from pig sh!t."
Look for Theron next in the upbeat holiday sci-fi movie The Road.

Give her a mo-hawk, some purple makeup for the eyes and lips, a deep tan, very little S&M outfit, a chain around the neck....and the little midget guy from thunderdome dragging her around saying "Who's in charge.....who's in charge".....I can live with that image.

ug sigh, sorry miss theron i will not come to this flick. whether or not mel is in it i think this series is done. please please stick a fork in it. come on u guys pull ur collective heads outa ur backsides and actually try and create SOMETHING NEW AND ORIGINAL. i must admit that over the last 60 years many have written to push the boundries of entertainment to such heights as to make u scratch ur backsides to come up with somethin more. keep at it using this type of material will actually loose peoples interest cause it looks like a grab at the money bag.
