Crazy great trailer for Star Wars film created by 472 fans

Crazy great trailer for \<i\>Star Wars\<\/i\> film created by 472 fans
Star Wars Uncut is a project that's asking fans to re-create Star Wars in 15-second bits "however you want, be it live action, stop motion, flipbooks, action figures... animated ASCII art, whatever. The more creative, the better." There are 472 bits in total, and hundreds have already been finished and uploaded.
With the movie now about 75 percent done, Star Wars Uncut has posted the trailer below, which is quite possibly the greatest fan-made Star Wars thing in existence. And yeah, we know there are a lot of great fan-made Star Wars things out there to choose from. This just went to number one on our list:

You know I sometimes question if the staff for sci fi wire are really sci fi fans or bored interns that think sci fi will enjoy any of the crap they post.

Regardless, piecing a bunch of fan made clips together in no way can constitute the base star wars fan base film ever. The trailer was horrible, and I can't imagine an entire film made of them. It would drive me insane. Okay, more insane than I already am. But that's besides the point. Stop the madness!!

i bet it will be better than most of the sat night original syfy movies!!!

i personally HATE star wars but if they remake the movies using fan made stuff like in the little clip up there i think it'll be hilarious.

Any live action crap is just going to bring the rest of it down, but there WAS some good hand drawn animation and puppet work that looked good enough to go on with the concept. Just drop the home movie crowd.

SciFi Wire just went to the bottom of my list of blogs to read. Unsubbing from their twitter feed, too. I'm tired of bad BS. Quality, not quantity, folks. Learn it and live by it and this newz site would be a lot better.

Toodles.

Jesus, what happened to this blog?
Are you really paid to post these stupid non-sense posts?
The quality of this blog is really going down.

By OMGWHY at 3:02 PM ON 10/28/09

OMG WHY WOULD YOU COVER STAR WARS ON A BLOG ABOUT SCI_FI! HORRORS! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By bwheelz54 at 3:30 PM ON 10/28/09

I feel I witnessed more creative talent in that small clip than Mr. Lucas has displayed during the last fifteen years. Give it up, George. Stop counting your dollars and just give it all back to the fans.

I'm not exactly sure what most of the people are griping about. Honestly, there is someone complaining about every article they post. Some are interesting to me, some are not. So far there have been more interesting articles than not in my opinion. So why all the hatred?

By Stopthemadness at 7:32 PM ON 10/28/09

For me it's not the article/subject matter that bothers me. It's when the staff interject their own opinion with the news. Just give the facts and leave the opinions to the readers. If they find something interesting to post, then post it and leave it at that.

If the SyFy staff reports on their own programming with the same scrutiny it gives everything else not related to the channel, then I would be less troubled by their personal insight. Just my two cents.

Um, isn't a blog supposed to be about viewpoints and opinions?

By Selek at 9:52 PM ON 10/28/09

This "blog" is now part of a corporate entity, where any individual thought, ideas, opinions and true commentary could prove dangerous to financial goals of NBC/U.

So, we are stuck with people who must write this type of tripe because its within certain guidelines set up to appeal homogeneous to the mass audience who think Dancing With the Stars is high drama!

Crazy Great! What the heck have you been drinking and smoking. That was crazy great trash.

I loved the Keyboard standing in for the Death Star trench. This could be fun if you are expecting next to nothing. I hope they get enough footage to construct several versions- animated, bizarre and ultralame.

Fun stuff!!!!
