I've had my arm around Grace Park. She's uber-super thin. She's great and quite beautiful, but I doubt she actually has this much meat on her bones. She's skinny enough I really don't need to see her naked to appreciate her.

"There will certainly be a lot more explicit action on the DVD. And I refuse to have a body double, so you will see a little bit of skin from me as the Six character. There's also a new character you'll see in some very intense sex scenes."

My expectations for this movie just went down. If they have to throw sex into it, the plot must be extremely thin.

Not that it's floundering, but I wonder if this will help boost the ratings for The Border...?

They are both very attractive, but in this photo spread they both look thin, awkward, and all around miserable. Like starving women from third world counties that have been forced into 'modeling' to pay their way to America.

It's supposed to turn me on, but I'm just feeling sad for these women.

I would like to point out that every human being on Earth with a laptop and a Facebook or Flickr account photoshops every single one of their own pictures. If we didn't, no one would ever get dates.

Maxim exists to sell guy retail stuff to guys. If you want to see these two women looking normal I would just stick to the cool reviews and interviews over here at SyFy.

How very sad that both these excellent actors who created complex, interesting, and intelligent characters have to sell their bods to make a living and to sell the show. All the interviews I've seen with these women also indicate that they themselves are also complex and intelligent. Even though I'm gay I was strongly drawn to their conflicted, and ultimately moral, charecterizations. Both brought a lot of texture and suprise to the story line.
AND-- in a sense of fair play-- where's MY beefcake (The Chief and Apollo at least--yum):-)

I can't wait for my Maxim spread to hit news stands. "Hairy men of the North East!" Hope you like it.

Lets face it none of you [including me daget] nerds, could get women this beautiful. Ridiculous amount of hating here, they look a bit thin,but i wouldnt say its as bad as lindsay lohan or something, no way any one would turn them down. Of course there is not one article about anything that you people let go by without whining about. If there was a headline here "Scientist X cures Cancer" someone would say how stupid he is, or he should have found the cure 10 years ago.

Ive always thought the Boomer gal was very attractive, however shes very attractive in the more clothing makes you want to see more opposed to this where shes half nakid and you want to shy away because she is very thin.

I guess I just like a little more meat on my bones than that. Heck even 6 looks like she just got out of drug rehab. Don't get me wrong when shes dolled up watch out. =)

I don't know about the Photoshop. Tricia Helfer was always thin on the show. Grace Park wore less revealing clothes so it is hard to tell.

I will say this though. I live in HK and many many women here are as thin as that or thinner. These women are not anorexic. It's just their "natural" size. Many have legs thinner than my arms. In many Far East countries you will find this kind of body shape to be almost the norm. The contrast with the North American or even European average is striking. It has to do with both genetics, diet, and exercise. For example in HK people walk way more than the average American.

Grace Park does not seem abnormally thin to me in the context of local women here.

The funny thing nowadays is how naturally very thin women, of which there are many, are automatically thought of as Photoshopped. It's a fine line I guess because of course many are also "Photoshop thin".

Tricia Helfer was at GenCon a few years ago. The one thing I vividly remember is how thin she is in person. If they used Photoshop it wouldn't be much!

She is also very tall. I bet Grace Park is standing on a box.

Grace Park is 5'9" and Tricia Helfer is 5'10". Not that far apart.

BTW on the Maxim website there is a video of the shoot. Watch for Grace Park's nipple just before the one minute mark.

You are of course free to find this insulting. But how does it insult you? No one held a gun to Ms. Park's and Ms. Helfer's heads. I hardly think they feel insulted.

As for "surface", one should note that most of the geeks looking at the pics have already seen these ladies act, so we've already delved more than skin deep.

The female body can be quite beautiful. Is it so wrong to look at it and find it so? Where is the line between admiring beauty and demeaning women? Did you stop and think that perhaps these ladies like to be admired? Most people do, in some way. Heck, I don't mind if a girl looks at me admiringly. What is wrong with that?

Why not? As I mentioned above before this body shape is hardly unusual, especially in the Far East. Tricia Helfer is well known to be very thin. I have no problem believing that Grace Park is as well.

Yes, many women really are that thin without being anorexic.

They look great! And they are both really that size. Keep in mind when you are commenting that they are degrading themselves that Tricia started as and still is a professional model. We are just fortunate that they are great actresses as well.
