Looks like CBS' The Big Bang Theory is becoming a must-stop destination for former sci-fi stars: First, Star Trek: TNG's Wil Wheaton and now Battlestar Galactica's Katee Sackhoff.
The erstwhile Starbuck will appear in an episode of the geek-tastic sitcom on the Monday before Thanksgiving, CBS announced, confirming details first reported by the Chicago Tribune's Mo Ryan. (Spoilers ahead!):
Sackhoff, who is a series regular on the new season of 24, will play herself in a cameo in the episode. ...As "Battlestar" and "Big Bang" fans know, this isn't the first connection between the two shows (aside from the general adoration that the show's characters have for all things sci-fi). Michael Trucco ("Battlestar's" Sam Anders) played a love interest for Penny (Kaley Cuoco) last season.
Frak me!

"there may be nudity."
But never enough.

Don't forget Summer Glau! She guest starred too.
By FishRockette at 6:07 PM ON 10/21/09
No, the first was Summer Glau. Who also played herself.

"there may be nudity."
Yes, but will there be a Big Bang?

"...there may be nudity."
None of which we'll see on regular TV. We'll just have to wait 'til something leaks online (like it usually does) or when it comes out on DVD.

Now this is what I call "must-see TV"!

I want to see Gillian Anderson play a sexy Aunt on a 2 part episode and Brent Spiner as a professor on the show!!! Chris Pine and William Shatner could show up at a convention together too!!! Leonard Nimoy and Jonathon Frakes bumping into each other! Lots of ideas to consider!

Some fact-checking here ;)
Michael Trucco of “Battlestar Galactica” played Dr. David Underhill in the 12/15/08 episode “The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis.”
Summer Glau of “Firefly” played herself in the 3/9/09 episode “The Terminator Decoupling”.
Wil Wheaton of ST:TNG played himself in the 10/19/08 episode “The Creepy Candy Coating Corollary.”
Katee Sackoff of Battlestar Galactica makes #4.

"...there may be nudity."
On broadcast TV, the only nudity there is occurs under the actors' clothes.

Awesome. This should be hilarious. That show rocks.
By Iceman at 12:46 AM ON 10/22/09
Can't you people read? Summer Glad and Win Wheaten were never on BSG, therefore Katee would be the second star or that show to appear on Big Bang. Exactly like the article says!
By Iceman at 12:51 AM ON 10/22/09
It appears that while some can't read, I can't type... That's what happens when one gets so worked up and types too quickly on a BlackBerry... My apologies.
By Dave at 2:52 AM ON 10/22/09
Actually, iceman, you're reading comprehension is pretty poor. The opening paragraph suggests Wheaton was the first former sci-fi star. Although Glau is in Dollhouse, so you can argue that she isn't a "former" sci-fi star.
By Dave at 2:55 AM ON 10/22/09
Clearly, my typing sucks too, that should be "your," not "you're."
By MCP-001 at 10:37 AM ON 10/22/09
You know, if people are so interested in seeing naked pictures, there are websites that have them (besides what is "teased" here).
By OTV at 11:12 AM ON 10/22/09
Anders was already on the show as well. He beat Katee to the punch.
By superfly at 1:26 PM ON 10/22/09
She won't really be naked. She already stated that she won't do anything she doesn't want to show her family. So this article is BS.
By AngryJonny at 5:54 PM ON 10/22/09
As Katee's cousin (not really), I would have no problem seeing her entirely in the buff. It'd be for the sake of art, so, somehow, I'd find a way to get over any discomfort.

@david So Summer Glau's role as a Terminator on the Sarah Connor Chronicles isn't sci fi? Or her role as River living on a spaceship in Firefly?
By Traeger at 3:39 PM ON 10/23/09
he is emphasizing "former". Since Summer Glau will now have a recurring role on Dollhouse she is a CURRENT scif-fi star and no longer FORMER.
