Why did they change the show history and details to do the Plan?
One of the biggest elements in the original was the mystery of the Final Five. In the Plan they were apparently known from day 1. This killed most of what made watching the Cylon side of the story interesting in the original.
Adding the sex and graphic violence did not add to the story and keeping to the original plot from the other side would have been better.

ericlklein, adding graphic sex and violence may not have added to the story, but it did add to the graphic sex and violence.

ericlklein, you're wrong about your statement about knowing who the final five were. You should watch the movie again. Caval always told the others not to look into the final five's history. So it makes sense that he knew who they were and if you rewatch the movie only he did, like they explian in the show. He never mentions it to the others, at any point, who the five were. Then since the movie only covers up to season 2 it makes sense that he boxes D'anna after she finds out.
