Yep, actress Jolene Blalock, who played the sexiest Vulcan who ever graced anything called Star Trek, is headed back to TV, and this time she's evil. Blalock, who is best known for her role as T'Pol on Star Trek: Enterprise, is joining the cast of Legend of the Seeker in a recurring role for the show's second season.
Blalock's had a number of guest roles since she raised the pulses of Trek fans, including CSI: Miami, Stargate SG-1 and the film Starship Troopers 3: Marauder. Now she'll finally get a chance to dig in with a continuing role with some bite on Seeker, as a mysterious Sister of the Dark with some serious magical powers.
Legend of the Seeker's second season begins with Richard (Craig Horner) and Kahlan (Bridget Regan) dealing with the fallout of Richard killing the villainous Darken Rahl. Apparently even after you fulfill a prophecy you can't keep evil forces down (literally down, since the evil forces are coming from the underworld). It will force Richard to learn all about the Wizard's Second Rule, "The greatest harm can result from the best intentions."
Blalock's Sister of the Dark character will attempt to end Richard's quest to stop the vile forces from the underworld. However, her real goal is to destroy Kahlan.
This season, beyond Blalock, Tabrett Bethell also joins the cast as Cara, the Mord'Sith who helped Richard ultimately defeat Darken Rahl in the season-one finale. And Angel's Charisma Carpenter will guest-star in Seeker's premiere in syndication on the weekend of Nov. 7.

This is not enough to make me watch this show, but I will say that on top of being extremely hot (though there have been hotter actresses in Trek over the years) Jolene Blalock is actually a pretty good actress. The problem is that because Brannon Braga was an obtuse, sexist prick, he rarely gave her good material to work with. Instead she was relegated to being a coke-addicted sex fiend who never passed up an opportunity to strip down to her undies and have decon gel rubbed all over her. Sad, but true—T'Pol was one of Star Trek's more sorely misused characters.

Ok We need a poll for the sexiest Vulcan. Besides T'pol there was also Saavik and a few others. I think we need a vote who made a sexier Vulcan. The canidates are:
Jolene Blalock as T'Pol
Kirstie Alley as Saavik
Robin Curtis as Saavik
Robin Curtis as T'Paal (even though she was really the Romulan Tallera)
Add anyone else you want.

I watched the pilot, realized it was marketing for tweens, and have not watched it since. So now the boys will have something else to think about under the covers.

If I hadn't read all of the books I probably would not watch it either. So far it has been pretty disappointing.

I've read all the books as well, but I still enjoy the show (in a campy Zena/Hercules kind of way). There are plot points in the show that annoy me because it's not like the book, but not enough for me to stop watching.

Legend of the Seeker is so much fun. I worried it would be cheesy but it won me over and I find myself looking forward to it!

Don't forget T'Pring from TOS. She was the first Vulcan hottie!

I love legend of the seeker. It's a pretty good time and the production quality is very high.
And I didn't like T'Pol, but I have to blame the writers as they kept finding demeaning things for her to do. And poor Hoshi was even more under used than her. More's the pity

Love the show and as a result started the books. To be honest I like the show version better. The books r certainly much more adult in a variety of ways and the show could use a little infusion of that. Kahlan is given a much broader role in the show and Im not much of a fan of Goodkind's writing style.

Anyone who likes this show must have never read the books. Legend of the Seeker destroyed a great story. Raimi ruined Goodkind's work for all time. He is one of the lamest director's of all time now. If the people who love this show really want a great story, READ THE BOOKS!!! Find out what really happened instead of the drivel Raimi is giving you. He did nothing more than steal the characters of the books and put them in his own dumb fantasy land! PATHETIC!!

I've never read the books but I think the show is just fun times all around. It's a perfect Saturday afternoon adventure story that has wizards, swords, adventure and a bit of romance. Its something entertaining to watch not rocket science.

I miss Enterprise. It was the last time there was real Star Trek and the only good Star Trek after Next Generation.

@Jbhypno Lieutenant Selar (Suzie Plakson) in The Schizoid Man (epi 131, Stardate 42437.5 Second season TNG) She also played K'Ehleyr, Alexander's mother in later episodes. And went on to be an Andorian in Enterprise.

@Dreamtime909,
Arlene Martel (T'Pring) indeed is hot but she didn't limit that to Trek. I think I first became aware of her in Ellison's DEMON WITH A GLASS HAND episode of THE OUTER LIMITS. She's been all over SF from THE TWILIGHT ZONE on.

Dina Meyer in Star Trek: Nemesis!!! She didn't play a Vulcan, but she did play a very hot Romulan Cmdr..
P.S. I don't remember her character's name
