Sexy Stargate Universe women pose for Steppin' Out

Sexy \<i\>Stargate Universe\<\/i\> women pose for \<i\>Steppin\' Out\<\/i\>

Stargate Universe babes Alaina Huffman and Elyse Levesque are the cover girls on this week's issue of the New York and New Jersey entertainment magazine Steppin' Out.

The actresses can also be found on the inside of the magazine, in a six-page photo feature that includes an interview—for those who can tear themselves away from the pictures.

Levesque, when asked about the possibility of any steamy love scenes for her character, Chloe Armstrong, replied:

"She has all kind of needs. It's only healthy that those needs be met."

You can check out the complete interview and read the rest of the issue over at the Steppin' Out site.

Very nice! But I sugegst that we get some of the SGU guys for PBMom and for our two female editors ASAP! lol

By Hercules40 at 3:16 PM ON 10/15/09

You know, I actually read the article.

Is that really the Senator's daughter???!!!

Ummm..... Ok, I am speechless.

And now I sound like a fanboy. Terrible!

By ohhellyeah at 3:19 PM ON 10/15/09

This photo--though most likely 'shopped--looks about 10 times better than Maxim's BSG photos. At least these 2 don't look like skeletons. (Although, with how white they appear, they could pass for cadavers. Now, go away you darn necrophiliacs!)

By IronOre at 3:52 PM ON 10/15/09

It does kind of make you want to get trapped on a spaceship billions of light years from earth, doesn't it?

Looks like syfy is using their sexiest ladies to sell programming... Next, the ladies of Sanctuary will be on the cover of People... - kh

For the second time this week, I say: Guh.

Where have I seen Alaina Huffman before? Time to hit imdb...

Oh, right, she was Black Canary on Smallville!

By Celesto at 4:37 PM ON 10/15/09

uhhh..to much makeup, come on!

Addicted to love music video?

By beakernx01 at 5:29 PM ON 10/15/09

First Six and Boomer, now these two! What a week for scifi babes in magazines!

By wraithfodder42 at 5:42 PM ON 10/15/09

I think Lost in Space lost some of their outfits (original show, they wore all silver outfits, which covered, well, a lot more).

So, where are the 'boys of SGU'???

By thecursor at 5:59 PM ON 10/15/09

Two reasons to watch Stargate Universe...

Sadly they can't come up with more then two since this show is just a

By Blacksnake at 6:42 PM ON 10/15/09

Nice picture, shame about the show.
Wonder if theres any chance of actually getting a character thats likeable.Right now they could kill of the hole cast and all i'd feel was relief.

By betty at 7:08 PM ON 10/15/09

Lovely...now bring on the boys! Oh the memories of watching SG1 when Daniel was shirtless. Okl I'm back but seriously when will we see the boys???

By superfly at 7:11 PM ON 10/15/09

More like 6 reasons to watch. I wish they looked like that on the show. The second episode was better than the pilot. I'll still catch ep3.

By piper at 8:24 PM ON 10/15/09

A stargate-hatting friend of mine just asked me when SGU was airing.

I understand why now.

By Maggie at 8:59 PM ON 10/15/09

Well... you have finally suceeded in me not watching your chanel at all.

First, I am a female and do not care how sexy your female stars are in Stargate Universe.

Second, I think the world is depressing enough without adding to it with a show that is totally dark... like Stargate Universe.

Third. I used to just igrnore your chanel on Saturday and Sunday because I thought it had nothing to do with science fiction but more to do with horror and fright.

You have finally left me nothing to watch.

I guess I am more in tune with Gene Roddenberry's world that had hope.

I know I am in the minority. And I wish nothing but the best to you and your viewers. But I am not one of them anymore.

By joesocwork at 9:04 PM ON 10/15/09

If these are the babes then man is this channel making me feel old!

By ChayneLightning at 9:21 PM ON 10/15/09

Stepping Out Magazine?

Really? Wow that takes me back.

Its pretty much the NJ bar scene with a feature article that is usually an interview with a hot starlet (this week I guess its the SGU ladies) the more bar ads...

There used to be a column called Morsels that was funny...

By me at 9:40 PM ON 10/15/09

Nice. The ladies look outstanding. And I like their show too. I've been a fan of Alaina since her appearances on Painkiller Jane, and Smallville. There are two other attractive women on the show too. Their names are Ming Wa, and Julia Benson. Check them out.

By asdfasdf at 11:05 PM ON 10/15/09

So Barry Letts, producer of Doctor Who and the man who cast Tom Baker as the Doctor, has been dead for almost a week.

NEVER MIND THAT! HERE'S AIRBRUSHED ALMOST-NUDITY TO PROMOTE SYFY'S SHOWS!

By KeyBorg at 12:36 AM ON 10/16/09

So, some "hot" girls are supposed to make me want to watch this show? I think making a big deal about the girls only proves how vapid their characters are (not to mention the show on whole).

Funny thing, I don't recall requiring sexuality to make me want to watch SG1 or SGA...oh right I forgot, they relied on good writing.

By Tarc at 2:18 AM ON 10/16/09

Alaina Huffman has exhibited some excellent acting chops so far, and is my second favorite character (David Blue and Elyse) of an otherwise very, very dull show. They deserve a bit of promo, particularly after that idiot at Comicon basically said that none of the ladies on the show were attractive. Since Ming Na was on the panel, that was an unbelievably incorrect thing to say.

By Nyarlathotep at 5:57 AM ON 10/16/09

i see a blonde and a brunette, but no redhead...if theres no redhead whats the point!

By Soren B at 6:24 AM ON 10/16/09

>i see a blonde and a brunette, but no redhead...if theres no redhead whats the point!

Haha, my thoughts exactly. :p

By Anonymous at 6:44 AM ON 10/16/09

Those are some good reasons.
Not good enough to cover for the crappy character design and humorless, weak plot.
Stargate Galactica.

By Marc at 9:11 AM ON 10/16/09

That and the fact that the show is actually good...

By Tempus13 at 9:40 AM ON 10/16/09

"NY & NJ's #1 Entertainement Magazine."

The show should be proud that they have garnered so much attention from such a classy regional magazine.

By GlowGoBoy at 9:45 AM ON 10/16/09

Geez, you haters need to get a life. Stick with the show, ALL shows take a good first season to get into the groove of things. Even SG1 back in the day was a bit weak.

SGU is a different kind of show. If you don't like it, turn your channel to something else. It's not that hard. Not every show is written just for _your_ enjoyment. I personally enjoy seeing a different side of the SG Universe (pun intended) just like an animated show might be a different side.

Sheesh peeps. Give it some time or while it is developing, go watch 90210 or re-runs of SG1/SGA.

By Ascii at 10:09 AM ON 10/16/09

Have to agree with GlowGoBoy, too many people are quick to dismiss the show after only three episodes. While the ratings haven't been spectacular, they haven't been bad either. I always like to think back about Star Trek: TNG, by all accounts the first and second seasons were very bleh, but people gave it a chance and it is now considered by many to be one of the best scifi series ever made.

I honestly like the new direction, flaws characters, steam-punk like starship (in comparison to the 'clean' glass look of ships in the other series) and more focus on the characters instead of just mindless action.

By Sparrownightmare at 10:22 AM ON 10/16/09

Up until now I was on the fence as to whether or not the show would succeed. Well they just knocked me off the fence.. ;> Now I have to find that magazine...

By Richard S. Drake at 10:46 AM ON 10/16/09

Before Sy Fy totally degenerates into a website for creepazoids and 14-year-olds, how about soliciting some views from feminist SF writers on the new trend on sexualizing the stars of TV series, rather than discussing - oh, I don't know - Ideas?
Mongo likum sexy picture - Mongo think Mongo will new show a chance!

By UnRiel at 11:10 AM ON 10/16/09

I like it so far for its BSG-like grittiness. The complaints of character development in such a short time is simply petty. I remember how horrified I was with SG1, being a huge fan of the movie, to see the pathetic costumes that had replaced the CGI head-pieces of Ra's guards. The show overcame this low budget start. By hopping out into the Universe, SGU has a great opportunity to expand the mythology while attracting new watchers.

By 3D at 11:17 AM ON 10/16/09

My whole family liked this show. I don't see it anywhere near as gritty as BSG. It still feels like Stargate to me, only a different setting. Eli gives us the humorous softer edge. There will be some romance, some action, some humor and of course science fiction.

Seems to me that most people (at least on the Internet) are not happy unless they have something to complain about.

So, I'm going the other way. I like this show. So does my family. Thank you, Sy-fy.

By DEEPPREASURE at 11:53 AM ON 10/16/09

SGU, thanks for the love of the show it rock's sexy like those two beautiful ladies. The development ofd the show, was well thought out! Action packed & humor all- in- one I love the show. Now just keep it going to the next level.

By MirrorPete at 12:20 PM ON 10/16/09

Two reasons? I count four...

By scifi-ED at 2:02 PM ON 10/16/09

@ Maggie. I agree with you completely. I too enjoyed my Stargate as an escape. It was fun, exciting, and genuinely funny. But still had enough to keep the brain thinking.

SGU bores me, it can't be fun, because of the situation they're in. Eli, tries too hard, and isn't funny. And there is no action, unless you count the scientist getting shot by friendly (if you can call this guy that) fire.

I'm still watching, but I find myself fast forwarding through parts. Crying in BSG, didn't bother me at all, but that's because I cared.

All these characters suck. I knew once the casted LDP that the casting was going to be bad.

Why not give me REAL reasons to watch.

1. Characters I like.
2. Story that makes since. Everyone just sat there to die instead of search the large ship for a spare part. Or why not take one from the shuttle? Those fly in space too, so there must be one in there, and since RUSH is a genius he could rig it to work for the ship.
3. Stop crying every damn episode.
4. And finally, give Mckay one of the long range communicators so he can fix the ship in one episode and bring everyone home.

I know 4 is a joke, but wouldn't this be the first thing they would do, is get Mckay, Carter, and Jackson, on board with the communicators, at the same time, since they have 4 of them, they'll brain storm, Mckay will argue a bit, and then viola, the ship is fixed.

Instead they're using them to visit family members.

Is it me, or does captcha hate MAC. When I'm at work, I can't post anything. But on my laptop, a PC, it posts alomost fine.

By Mog Hut at 3:50 PM ON 10/16/09

SG1 and SGA: hot guys and girls kicking butt and doing profound brain things.
SGU: hot girls and not so hot guys running around like wet ants and doing some incredibly stupid things.
The highlight of the latest episode was the stargate itself.

By Kirk at 1:58 AM ON 10/17/09

Congrats syfy, you make your actress look like women from a ad cover of an escort service.

By Dilithium Chambers at 1:40 PM ON 10/17/09

What maroons some of you are.

"Trying to use sexy girls to make me watch the show."

A) I like SG-U. I like the serious tone and thus far it's pretty well acted and written.

Heck, they've already done more in two episodes to convey their distance from home and the danger of their situation in two episodes than Star Trek: Voyager did in 7 years.

And B) It's a marketing tool and one that's ALWAYS been used. I can easily point you to "sexy" photoshoots of Amanda Tapping, Claudia Black, and Rachel Luttrell.

Were they just trying to get you to watch their "crappy" shows, too? Well, yes. Because sex sells.

If you don't like the show, that's cool. But don't act as though sexing up female leads of a show is new or some "desperate act."

By Technical Journal at 6:05 PM ON 10/17/09

I'm with Dilithium Chambers on all counts; especially his comment on STV. What utter dreck that was. Lame characters played by lame actors. Never once did I feel they were in jeopardy. I always knew the transporter or yet another means of time travel would save the day.

By Chris -atl at 10:55 AM ON 10/20/09

Stargate Galactica.. exactly!! I agree with Maggie... give us the story telling of Rodenberry... not the eye candy of Girls next door crap. This world is dark enough already. One main reason I stopped watching BSG. Get the ladies a robe, and give me a story.

By Google Junky at 4:44 AM ON 10/30/09

The show isn't that great yet already and now this?
The actors can act, but the writing and sex scenes suck. Can we not just have a good show without all the sex. I thought I was watching a soap opera.

Ladies , Just put your clothes back on and just be an actress. If I want to see pron then ill go find it. Keep it off of the TV.
