The santa and child is disturbing and not at all appropriate. I ask Syfy to please pull this as I feel it’s just over the line of decency. Show what you want of public figures.

Actually it is. The Scifi Channel ORIGINALLY (remember back in the nineties) was for Science fiction, fantasy AND Gothic Horror. In fact the very first show the Scifi Channel ever aired was a rerun of the sixties VAMPIRE Soap, Dark Shadows.

Does no one know the history of this channel anymore? I was watching this channel from the beginning.

Yes, vampires are a part of scifi. Since it's very conception back when it was still The Scifi Channel they covered Gothic horror and fantasy. From Dark Shadows, Forever Knight, Highlander, She-Wolf of London, to Dresden Files (which I loved) and now the horrible idea of remaking Being Human, Scifi has ALWAYS been open to Gothic horror monsters AND Fantasy.

However, this article made me go WTF too. Is news that slow? We're just looking at photoshopped pictures of celebrities with blood and fangs. Scifi Wire, have a little more integrity and never do something like this again!

You have my support Artful Dodger. JT - do you have kids? I don't want to ban art, I just don't want to see children being attacked, tortured, bloody, mutilated. It's called good taste. I know that that is subjective, but can't we all at least agree hurting children is bad?

@Jeffery2010: Yes, I think that most of us can agree that unnecessarily hurting children is bad. I qualify that because I believe in spanking when necessary.

Anyway, I just wanted to point out the not-so-subtle point that NO CHILDREN WERE HARMED IN THAT PICTURE. It's just a photoshop. If you are too sensitive to deal with it, then go cry in a corner and move on.

I think W.C. Fields might have appreciated the Santa pic. Then again, he was from a different time and might have found it offensive.

I do think that the Santa pic is somewhat amusing but then I have to agree that hurting children is a no-no.
