First Hobbit cameo role revealed!
Looks like Hobbit director Guillermo del Toro will follow the example of fellow filmmakers M. Night Shyamalan and Alfred Hitchcock by putting himself into his own movies. (Director Peter Jackson also had small parts in The Lord of the Rings.)
Del Toro posted on the message boards of TheOneRing.net that he will make a cameo appearance as a small monster:
"I had a hand on the design of the creature and I will personally sculpt the appliances that will be applied on my face and hands. I used to sculpt the creatures for NECROPIA (my FX company) and I miss it a bit. I will have a line or two and die quickly."
Del Toro didn't say much more about his brief role in the two movies based on J.R.R. Tolkien's book, the predecessor to The Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit is in preproduction in New Zealand.

He played a corsair in 'Return of the King' (think one of Legolas' arrows took him out in that...) - don't know about the other 2 movies though...

In FOTR peter was a drunk guy eating a carrot who belched when the hobbits entered the village of Bree, i dont know about the two towers though.

He was also the drunk guy that burps at the Hobbits when they enter Bree in Fellowship

In FOTR he was also drinking in the pub, and turned round to look amazed when Frodo disappears. (He was also wearing Gandalf's hat). In TTT, he is a warrior of Rohan, and he throws a spear from above the gate at the Battle of Helm's Deep, onto the Uruks with the battering ram.
