Syfy has released a new trailer for Caprica, and it includes the first footage of James Marsters as terrorist leader Barnabus Greeley. It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, but it's worth keeping your eyes peeled for when Marsters says that "Someone's dying today." (And the rest of the trailer ain't too shabby, either.)
Check it out after the jump.
The two-hour pilot of Caprica is now available on DVD and the Web; Caprica debuts on Syfy next year on Friday, Jan. 22, at 9/8C.

This reminds me of that DVD I got last week, that came out six months ago... :) If you haven't seen Caprica's pilot yet, check it out. It's pretty good.

SPIKE!
I guess we all get older /sigh
Pilot was good. Hoping for even better as the series continues. Otherwise, I can't find anything to watch on SciFi anymore :(

I've seen the pilot and am enthusiastically awaiting the series. The addition of James Marsters to the cast is the best thing ever. He always brings an edge and intelligence to his roles. I can't wait to see what he does with this one.

I'm really looking forward to this! The pilot was really interesting, it has Jane Espenson writing and then they cast James Marsters! There is no bad here!

I loved the pilot for Caprica! I'm so glad SyFy decided to produce more of this series, not to mention having James Marsters in the cast. I can hardly wait!

Here is my completely unsolicited & not-asked-for opnion about recent sci-fi premieres ranked in order of good to bad.
1) Stargate SGU
2) Flash Forward
3) Caprica
4) V
I would be shocked if the first three don't get re-newed. V needs serious help. I was pretty disappointed.

I saw this promo on SyFy Saturday night while watching the Ghost Hunters special. I was quite happy to catch a glimpse of James Marsters as Barnabas Greeley. Once hearing he was cast to be on this new show, I got interested. I had not watched the new BSG and so Caprica was all new... I have since watched the pilot and must say it intrigues me...The ideas and concepts it introduces gave me a lot to think about and decide just how I feel about such provocative 'choices' should I ever be faced with similar 'what ifs'. However, if it had not been for James having a part in this...well...I probably would have missed out.

Wasn't too interested in Caprica, with the exception of Esai - but now that James Marsters is on, I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled and the DVR running. And whoever said we all get old? Meet the man, and then say that. He's better than ever. Hope Syfy uses its intelligence and his talent - they'll be well rewarded.

I was psyched already, but the addition of James Marsters means I watch religiously AND I buy the DVD later. Yahoo!

What!!! The pilot was so boring .... spare the cheesy effects and the same story line this should never be a series and the trailer looks even more boring ... Have you seen that new show V the pilot aired recently now thats a pilot!

I have loved Ronald Moore's previous shows Roswell and Battlestar Gallactica. Both have been innovative and compelling viewing. I know he is taking Caprica in a different direction but I am willing to go along for the ride. Plus with the additions of Jane Esponsen and James Marsters, I know he is going in the right direction.
