First look: Caprica stars on their conflict (video)

We've got an early look at one of five new behind-the-scenes video vignettes for Syfy's upcoming Battlestar Galactica prequel series Caprica today, featuring never-before-seen cast interviews.

In this one, cast members Esai Morales and Eric Stoltz talk about the relationship between their characters, Joseph Adama and Daniel Graystone.

The videos will air during Syfy's two-day James Bond marathon, starting tomorrow at 8 a.m.

The two-hour pilot of Caprica is now available on DVD and the Web; Caprica debuts on Syfy next year on Friday, Jan. 22, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

It feels like this show was shot years and years ago. Why the long wait.? Put it out already.

I'm with spacechampion, I feel like it's been a decade since I watched the pilot.

It´s gonna take us deeper into life and the inner workings of colonial society, like we BSG fans always dreamed of!!...Also the rise of the cylons!!, it´s the next BSG.

I saw the pilot on DVD and actually enjoyed it. I hope the series lives up to it...

What is the point if we all know how it is going to end? Do we really care knowing that ultimately any plothole will be assigned to a plan of god? Do we really want to see more angsty emo teenagers as born again Christian robo-soldiers?

I was disapointed in the direction BSG took. It was just too depressing. Caprica will have to go on without me. Enjoy.

I'm still waiting to see the pilot on TV in Canada. If it's already played, I missed it.

SPACECHAMPION I don't think it aired at all yet. It was released direct to DVD. It will probably air in January. I liked it, except there was senseless nudity. It felt they just put in in because they could with it on DVD, same with BSG:The Plan.

Is this another show brought to you by the same people currently at SGU? If so, I'm taking a pass although I did like the pilot.

By Barry McKockiner at 11:00 PM ON 11/28/09

No, CAPRICA is being produced by a completely different team than SGU -- Ronald D. Moore, David Eick, and Jane Espenson, the same folks who were behind BSG.

STARGATE UNIVERSE is written and exec-produced by Brad Wright and Robert C.Cooper, The one thing both shows have in common is that they'll be airing on Syfy. Other than that...completely different production teams.

Didn't care for BSG so Caprica will have to go on without me too.

Had my fill of sc-fi drama after having suffered 9 weeks of stargate unibore, how about a sci-fi action show to save me from going into a coma.
