I don't think so. I don't believe in criticizing any President of the United States. We voted them in, we should be criticizing ourselves if we goofed!

By Virgil's Diner at 2:12 PM ON 11/04/09

@Sheep Farm - How is this in any way a criticism of the President? I get what you're saying and respect that opinion (though in a democratic society with a free press, satire is always an appropriate response). This, however, is just pop culture silliness. Have a laugh and move on. That said, I now can't stop wondering what Dr. Doom's health care plan would look like...

@Virgils Diner, Dr. Dooms health plan would probably be survival of the fitest and then excecuting the people who survived for fear of competition or rebellion. Wow! Nerd Alert on my part for thinking that through!

Sheep Farm, you are aptly named.

@sheep farm I didn't vote him in, don't know about you...

I like the "Brains" one. It reminds me of most of his supporters.

Virgil's Diner, you fool! Doom cares for all his citizens' health. Have you not the eyes to see the utopia of Latveria? Doom's citizens love Doom! Do not believe the lies of that fool Richards! How can unhealthy peasants work the fields, attend to Doom's needs, and maintain the vast army of Doombots to protect them from envious outsiders?
If you do not believe Doom, Doom invites you to visit beautiful Latveria. Doom guarantees you will be so happy, you will never leave.

Yes, master, thank you for the health care, it is very good, thank you, lord Doom! ALL HAIL LORD DOOM!

I'm waiting for someone to (seriously) lable the "Brains" picture as racist.. C'mon, you know you want to..

By Fizbin at 5:36 PM ON 11/04/09

A Republican science fiction fan??? I heard they existed, but never encountered one before. Hmm. Cause they usually think science is fiction.

By Zombie Fizbin at 6:40 PM ON 11/04/09

Ah, Fizbin is a perfect case illustrating antodav's point! What ignorance!

You missed the best one yet. Boris Karloff as the Frankenstein monster!

I took the "brains" poster to mean that it's nice to finally have a president with some.

Math: The Ackbar one is indeed the best one!

By gonner at 8:19 AM ON 11/05/09

I can't stand these posters they idealize a murderous @#$%!*&^ Che' Guevara. But then again our president is some thing of a zombie and a socialist. So maybe the comparison is not so off.

Don't tread on me

The comics I read a long time ago presented Latveria under Doom as having free universal healthcare and free advanced education with a pretty happy population. Punishment for breaking the law was a tad bit stricter than here and there was no choice in the government, but you take the good with the bad and you makes your choices.

Obama as "zombie and a socialist"? Please. By the way, since you hate socialism so much, please remember to never call the police, the fire department, go to a library, go to school, drive on the roads, get your mail, collect your Medicaid or social security benefits, have an army, navy, air force, or marines, museums, and about a bazillion other things that are socialist that most everyone thinks is ok. Oh, and when your insurance turns down your claim for healthcare, please don't complain as you lay in your bed dieing because our wonderful private health insurance system has thrown you to the wolves for their profit margin (that is assuming you still have insurance and have not lost it due to spiraling insurance costs making it too expensive to pay for).
Maybe if we stopped throwing labels around so much and dealt with ideas rather than wasting all our time on namecalling, we might get somewhere.

As to the pictures, as others have stated, they aren't political, they are just pop-art fun. laugh or not, it is just entertainment. BRAINS!
