Ray Bradbury may be back on TV soon with a new Chronicles miniseries, although (sadly) we're not talking about The Martian Chronicles. We are talking about The Bradbury Chronicles, though, which is just as good.
The miniseries will be based on six of Bradbury's stories, which he'll help choose and adapt. According to Variety, it's being developed by White Oak Films and as yet has no distributor. Okay, we're in, just tell us where and when to watch.
P.S. We'd really really like to see a great version of "A Sound of Thunder." We're just saying ...

Dang! I was really looking forward to some new Martian Chronicles but new Bradbury Chronicles is OK too! Hopefully with him involved they'll be awesome.

You have no idea how afraid I was when I saw his 'picture up. Before I saw the headline my first thought was 'Oh, no. He's finally passed away.' I'm not looking forward to that day. When Ray Bradbury dies it will be the end of an era. I'm dreading that day. It was an exquisite relief to find he's just remaking his Martian Chronicles. I love The Martian Chronicles, the book AND the seventies mini-series (which included a segment which was a short story left out of The Martian Chronicles book).
While we're on the subject of Ray Bradbury why hasn't The Halloween Tree (with Spock providing a voice and Bradbury himself narrating) been released to DVD?! I haven't seen that holiday special air on TV since the mid-nineties. I want to see it get a DVD release and I don't mean underground DVDs / VCDS made by fans copied from their old VHS tapes.

You'll want to check out Colonial Radio Theatre's work with Ray.
They've done Halloween Tree, and its said they are working on a new AD for Martian Chronicles!

I know he's going to go soon, and it's sad, but a final Chronicles? It was a cornerstone of my youth, so.. YAY! Maybe a small follow-up on the carnival and the boys who wrecked it?
I kinda hope not, but if it's him writing it, well, YAY. Even if not, still, YAY!

Will you nits please stop killing off Ray?
He is, as they say, not QUITE dead yet!
And won't be for some good time.

I don't want Ray Bradbury to die. I love him. He's the last true genius of science fiction. I was just afraid he was dead when I saw his face on the front page of Scifi wire, before I saw the text. I'm dreading his death. And Scifi Wire is not alaays the bearer of good tidings.

I love Ray Bradbury too. Each year to commemorate his birthday, I put all of the books I can find inside my house and burn it down.

"Something Wicked This Way Comes" began my lifelong love affair with science fiction. Thanks to Mr. Bradbury, I have enjoyed countless hours of escape from the mundane 9 to 5 into fantastic adventures, fear, and wild imaginings. I welcome more.

Though Ray Bradbury is a master if science fiction I wouldn't say Something Wicked this way comes is pure Science Fiction. That one is more fantasy / horror. And I am not afraid to debate that Stephen King 'borrowed' from it for his Needful things.
