As far as the star trek cast went, she was the worst rendition IMO. Uhura was demure, silent and strong, she was all class. You do realize that the actors don't get to make up their own dialogue? Most of it is written for them. They may get some leeway or if they are one of the top actors, they may have the clout to change their dialogue. Blame the writers of that crap-fest. It sucked all around. Her poor dialogue was one of the more minor things.
