In The Box, when Cameron Diaz and James Marsden receive the eponymous object it's accompanied by a weird-looking dude who explains exactly what it is and how to use it. That's some service, but it could get cost-prohibitive for the manufacturer if it sent a personal assistant for every item sold.
That got us thinking: What the Box needs is a QuickStart Guide. If any sinister manufacturer wants to start making this gadget, feel free to use this insert. Just leave our names out of it.

The biggest problem with the box is that it has a big red button. No human being ever born can resist hitting a big red button, no matter what it does. It's just not fair.

It's even shiny. Almost candy-like, even.

Isnt this movie based on the Ren and Stimpy episode "Space Madness"?
By LrdBowler at 1:15 PM ON 11/06/09
They should have just done "The Monkey's Paw". That is a far more interesting story.

155,550 people die every day.
I don't know any of *them*.
What's one more?
Who cares what color the button is?
Seriously, just gimme my $1,000,000, already.
I've got a particular beach in mind already.
It's sad to see people so easily manipulated by bright shiny things and so easily confounded by "moral dilemmas".
At least in Space Madness Ren and Stimpy died at the end.
Thanks, bye.

Only an idiot wouldn't think that the person that is going to die is the one who is closest to them. It is never some nameless person or such. The very premise is so overplayed that one can have no sympathy for any of the characters.

I'm pressing the button in hopes that TomKo44 and the other jerks that visit this site....well meet some untimely demise....

C'mon everyone instinctly knows that pressing the red button will not end well.
Indeed the bigger the "reward" the worst it will be.
That's why a box of M&Ms will get more people to press it since it can be tht bad.
