But then again, people like you don't view other people who use the internet as human beings. To you we're just words on a screen that you can be vicious toward because you likely will never see our faces. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Honestly I don't care how you choose to kill yourself, your lungs, your cancer. However, I do not give you permission to damage my lungs, which is why we "bitch" about second hand smoke. Also I urge all non-smokers to contact their congress people too demand smoking be illegal around minors.

I'm not a smoker, never have been, but I'm also not a grade-A wimp who thinks the only threat to your health in the air is tobacco. Wake up and look at the world around you. Do you know what airplanes do to the environment on a daily basis? Are you trying to get all air travel grounded?

If you spend an hour inside a garage with the door shut, which is going to kill you quicker -- a running car or a lit cigarette? So which is more dangerous to people? Are there more cars or smokers on the roads? I'll always prefer biking to driving but you are right with the fact that humans are the cause of all the destruction and its mind-boggling seeing the ways humans are prone to destroy themselves. Interesting for a bunch of creatures whose lifespan is mostly 75-85 years. What is it with our desire to shorten our already short lives, is life really worth not living. Funny, I don't remember seeing this PSA, but I do remember a PSA with R2 and 3PO concerning Whooping Cough. Also, when my family was stationed overseas in 1981-83, I remember several PSAs (probably not sanctioned by Lucas) which starred Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper trying to adjust to life in a foreign land.

my mother-in-law died of cancer because she smoked, and this was before my wife and i even got married. I think the commercial is awesome, because they used two popular icons of fiction to tell a very poignant message, especially to kids.
