Let the right one in does not need a remake.
another loser lame film for idiots who cannot read subtitles.
unoriginal like hollywood has become.

I agree with gorehound. to add to the facts this movie took place in Sweden and most of it took place during a snowstorm and it's being filmed in New Mexico?!?!?!? Do your self a favor people and see the original you won't be sorry!

Um, New Mexico can get quite a bit of snow. And the subtitles were screwed up on the first release of the movie on disc, so if you check the movie out, you may want to listen to the dubs since it's a more true translation.
I say give the new version a break -- let's see how it goes. I love the original, but also read the book. The movie is actually pretty trimmed down (for budget reasons to be sure). It is much more "epic" in a way, and much more disturbing.

Forgive my proven skepticism, but prepare for major fail. The original does not need to be remade, it is perfect in every sense. If there should be a place in the US it should be set in it should be Wisconsin, not New Mexico.

the simple existence of this adaptation of the text is a nightmare already. i mean it's in english and the title and main character's names have been changed for goodness sake.
the book, and the swedish film adaptation are both excellent individually. i hate to think what Matt Reeves will do to the story.
